On Sunday, April 25, sixty-five people attended the museum’s 16th annual poetry reading and enjoyed a delightful afternoon of poetry. John Minczeski from Minnesota read exerts from two of his books published by The University of Akron Press: Circle Routes and A Letter to Serafin.
After Minczeski, the seven winning poets from the museum’s New Words 2010 poetry contest read their poems. Over 250 poets submitted a total of 675 poems to this year’s poetry contest. Congratulations to the following winners:

Karen Schubert, Youngstown, “Brink”
Third Place
Rebecca Morgan Frank, Cincinnati, “City Morning”
